The past year was not an ordinary year for China’s entertainment industry. Some big celebrities were caught in scandals while young potentials rose to fame. Some tied the knot while others broke apart.

In China’s entertainment circle, you never know who will be the next hot thing. But one thing is for sure, celebrities who boast huge social influence should set a good example and convey positive social values to the general public.

Hong Kong superstar Jacky Cheung is known as the King of Songs and is so popular that fugitives are willing to risk their freedom just to see him perform live.

香港超級巨星張學友是家喻戶曉的歌王，一些逃犯冒著被抓捕的風險也要去看他的現(xiàn)場演唱會。

Cheung, 57, has developed the reputation for being an unwitting crime buster, with several reports of wanted criminals arrested at his concerts in the last year.

57歲的張學友不知不覺中竟成為了逃犯克星，據(jù)報道，2018年有多名逃犯在他的演唱會上被抓捕。

7. Former TVB actress Yammie Lam dies at 55

7.前TVB女星藍潔瑛去世，享年55歲

Hong Kong actress Yammie Lam was found dead at her home on November 3. As one of the pop stars to grace TVB dramas in the 1980s, Lam received much attention for her notable works.

11月3日，香港女星藍潔瑛被發(fā)現(xiàn)死于家中。作為上世紀80年代TVB流行女星之一，藍潔瑛因其出色作品而備受關(guān)注。

However, a series of tragedies, including a car accident and two alleged rapes revealed by her in an interview, affected her mental health and took her life in the end.

然而，在她身上發(fā)生的一系列悲劇包括一次車禍和她曾在采訪中透露的兩次強奸事件，影響了她的精神狀況，并最終奪去了她的生命。

8. Hawick Lau and Yang Mi announce divorce

After nearly five years of marriage, Chinese actress Yang Mi and Hong Kong actor Hawick Lau issued a joint statement announcing their divorce on Dec 22.

12月22日，中國女星楊冪和香港男演員劉愷威發(fā)布了一份離婚聯(lián)合聲明，結(jié)束了他們將近5年的婚姻。

Rumors of the ex-couple’s divorce had surfaced in past years but they always denied the rumors. The divorce was a decision made by both Yang, 32, and Lau, 44, after a discussion "conducted with mutual respect".

近年來一直有他們離婚的傳聞，但兩人從未承認過。32歲的楊冪和44歲的劉愷威在經(jīng)過“相互尊重”的討論后做出了這個決定。

9. Yu Quan singer arrested for drug use

On Nov 28, singer-songwriter Chen Yufan, one half of Yu Quan, was arrested on a charge of alleged use and possession of drugs, according to the Beijing police.

11月28日，羽泉組合創(chuàng)作歌手陳羽凡因使用和持有毒品被捕，據(jù)北京警方稱。

The duo’s management company, Giant Jump, issued an apology on its official Sina Weibo account, saying that the company is sorry for Chen’s behavior, the sort of which, it says, has a negative impact on society.

羽泉組合的經(jīng)紀公司Giant Jump 在其新浪官方微博上發(fā)布了一份道歉聲明，表示為陳羽凡的行為感到抱歉，稱其給社會帶來了負面影響。

10. Chinese actor Jiang Jinfu held on domestic violence charge

10.中國演員蔣勁夫被控家庭暴力

Popular Chinese actor Jiang Jinfu was arrested in Japan following allegations that he had abused his former girlfriend Haruka Nakaura.

中國受歡迎的男演員蔣勁夫因?qū)η芭袶aruka Nakaura實施家庭暴力，在日本被捕。

"No matter for what reason, I should have never raised my fist and I’m ashamed of what I have done. I will not defend myself and will shoulder my responsibility and accept punishment," Jiang wrote later on his Weibo account.

“無論出于何種原因，我都不應(yīng)該舉起我的拳頭，我為我的所做所為感到羞愧。我不會為自己辯護，我會承擔責任，接受懲罰。”蔣勁夫后來在其微博帳號上寫道。
