She’s never received any professional training in acting or singing, and she suffers from hearing loss in one of her ears. But these things don’t seem to have had any impact on her talents.

Millie Bobby Brown, 14, wowed the crowd when she sang US rapper Nicki Minaj’s Monster at Salt Lake Comic Con 2016. And the same year, she burst onto screens with the popular Netflix series Stranger Things.

Aside from her performing talents, the British actress is also very conscious about accepting who she is. “If you are happy in your own skin, if you truly love yourself, you will be kind to other people,” Brown wrote on social media last month. “That’s what’s important. And that’s what’s going to get rid of hate. And that’s what I stand for.”

US actor Aaron Paul, who’s known for playing Jessie Pinkman in US show Breaking Bad, is impressed by Brown’s maturity, telling Time magazine she has “a perspective that I could only have dreamed of having at that age”.
