《無問西東》：百年記憶中的不朽青春

Over the past two decades, Chinese actor Huang Xiaoming has starred in around 80 movies and television dramas.

過去20年間，中國演員黃曉明主演了80多部電影和電視劇。

While some of his performances have won him best actor awards, others have sometimes sparked controversies.

盡管他憑借著在一些作品中的表演多次獲得了“最佳男演員”的獎(jiǎng)項(xiàng)，但也有一些作品引發(fā)了爭議。

However, his performance in Nirvana in Fire: The Wind Blows in Chang Lin, a TV drama released on Dec 18, has won him accolades. And he has also received good reviews for the character he portrayed in the film Forever Young, which has rebuilt his reputation on the big screen.

然而，在去年12月18日開播的電視劇《瑯琊榜之風(fēng)起長林》中，黃曉明的演技備受贊譽(yù)。而他在電影《無問西東》中扮演的角色也獲得眾多好評(píng)，令其重新建立起了在大銀幕上的地位。

The movie, originally planned for the 100th anniversary of Tsinghua University, was held back for around six years and finally hit screens on Jan 12.

這部電影最初是作為向清華大學(xué)百年校慶獻(xiàn)禮的作品，在沉寂近6年之久后，最終于今年1月12日上映。

The film, which covers nearly a century starting from the 1920s, tells stories of four generations of students from Tsinghua University-about how they pursue their love, interests and dreams.

這部電影從上世紀(jì)20年代開始，跨度接近一個(gè)世紀(jì)，講述了四代清華學(xué)生追尋愛情、志趣與夢想的故事。

"It`s a story about how traditional virtues were passed down, not only among students of Tsinghua, but also among the Chinese people," says Huang.

“這是個(gè)關(guān)于如何傳承傳統(tǒng)美德的故事，不光是在清華的學(xué)生們當(dāng)中，更在炎黃子孫之中，”黃曉明表示。

The character Huang plays is that of a student Chen Peng in the middle of the last century.

黃曉明在片中飾演的角色名叫陳鵬，是上世紀(jì)中期清華大學(xué)的學(xué)生。

Chen`s story showcases the suffering people endured during the "cultural revolution" (1966-76). 陳鵬的故事展現(xiàn)了人們在“文化大革命”(1966-76)期間所承受的苦難。

In the film, the bashful boy rescues the girl of his dreams from misfortune and later commits himself to the nuclear industry of China.

在影片中，這個(gè)靦腆的男孩從不幸的命運(yùn)中救下心愛的女孩，后來又為中國的核工業(yè)奉獻(xiàn)終身。

"I was touched by Chen`s story and I found similarities between Chen and me when I read the script," says Huang, explaining why he chose to portray the character.

“看劇本的時(shí)候我完全被陳的故事打動(dòng)了，覺得自己與陳鵬有幾分相似，”黃曉明在解釋自己為何要接下這一角色時(shí)如此表示。

Besides Huang, the cast features A-list actress Zhang Ziyi, actor Chang Chen, US-born Chinese singer-actor Leehom Wang and other stars. 除了黃曉明之外，主演陣容還包括了一線演員章子怡、張震、美籍華裔歌手及演員王力宏等人。

As for preparing for the movie, Huang says that he had to run repeatedly with Zhang on the Tsinghua University campus over 10 days for a running scene. He says his heels hurt during the filming.

在拍攝這部電影時(shí)，黃曉明表示，他和章子怡為了一個(gè)奔跑的鏡頭，花了10天的時(shí)間在清華大學(xué)的校園里來來回回地跑，還崴了腳。

Speaking about director Li Fangfang, Huang praises her for being meticulous. 在談到導(dǎo)演李芳芳時(shí)，黃曉明贊揚(yáng)了她一絲不茍的精神。

He says that Li had gone through a great number of historical photos and documents and prepared thousands of costumes over 14 months to prepare for the film.

他表示，芳芳導(dǎo)演花了14個(gè)月的時(shí)間來準(zhǔn)備這部電影，她仔細(xì)查閱了大量的歷史照片和文件，準(zhǔn)備了上千套戲服。

"I wanted to reproduce historic scenes and details," Li says.

“我想要重現(xiàn)歷史場景和細(xì)節(jié)，”李芳芳說道。

Some episodes in the film are based on anecdotes from those at the National Southwest Associated University (1937-46) in Kunming, Yunnan province.

影片中的一些情節(jié)來源于發(fā)生在云南昆明的國立西南聯(lián)合大學(xué)中的軼事。

The episodes are reminiscent of the arduous conditions generally faced by students during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression (1931-45).

這些情節(jié)回顧了學(xué)生們在日本侵華戰(zhàn)爭期間所要面對的艱難處境。

Among the characters in the film are historical figures like Liang Sicheng, Lin Huiyin, Xu Zhimo and Qian Zhongshu. 電影中還出現(xiàn)了梁思成、林徽因、徐志摩以及錢鐘書等歷史人物。

The film has so far received 7.4 points out of 10 on Douban.com, the country`s major TV and film review platform.

該片目前在國內(nèi)主要的影視評(píng)分平臺(tái)豆瓣上打出了7.4分(滿分10分)的高分。

"The way the director links the multiple storylines is little far-fetched, but the images of the young people in the movie really did stir my heart," one netizen says.

“導(dǎo)演將多條故事線連接起來的方式有些牽強(qiáng)，但那些年輕人在電影中的形象的確打動(dòng)了我，”一位網(wǎng)友表示。
