President Xi Jinping and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida exchanged congratulatory messages over the 50th anniversary of the normalization of China-Japan diplomatic relations on Sept. 29. In his message, Xi pointed out that 50 years ago, the then Chinese and Japanese leaders grasped the situation with foresight and made a major political decision to normalize China-Japan diplomatic relations, which opened a new chapter in bilateral relations.

中日之間有著廣泛的共同利益和關(guān)切，無論是推動世界經(jīng)濟(jì)復(fù)蘇、促進(jìn)區(qū)域合作發(fā)展，還是應(yīng)對氣候變化、恐怖主義等全球性課題，雙方能做的、該做的事情都很多。這些重要成果不僅給兩國和兩國人民帶來實(shí)實(shí)在在的利益，也有力維護(hù)和促進(jìn)了世界特別是亞洲的和平、穩(wěn)定與發(fā)展。
