In fact, our influence is now so great

The question is, are we now beginning to threaten

the very conditions that make our planet so special?

A good place to find out is here on the island of Madagascar,off the coast of Africa.

It's estimated that 85% of all life here is unique to this island.

這里有85%的生命都只有這個(gè)島獨(dú)有

Most of it is found in the forests Madagascar is famous for.

大部分都是在馬達(dá)加斯加的森林里找到的

These forests symbolise the way our planet works.

這個(gè)森林就象征著我們的星球

They're incredibly complex,and yet everything works together to maintain the health of thewhole system.

非常的復(fù)雜 但是一切都完美地配合 維持著整個(gè)系統(tǒng)的健康

And just like the whole planet, we're changing the forests here

就像改變整個(gè)星球一樣我們也在改變著這里的森林

without fully understanding the consequences.
