英語勵志演講：不要讓語言扼殺夢想
Hi, I`m Jessica and I want to share you a story.
大家好，我是Jessica，我想和大家分享一個故事。
See there`s a story if a major league ball player. And one day he visited inmates in the prison. One of the inmates asked him, “How do you become a professional ball player sir?”
有一個知名聯(lián)盟的棒球運動員。一天，他來到監(jiān)獄探望囚犯。一名囚犯問他，“先生，你是如何成為棒球運動員的呢？”
To which he said, “you know I think it started when I was a boy, I would play baseball with my dad and he always said, You keep through the ball like that, you will end up in the major league one day.”“you keep swinging bat like that son, you will end up in the major league one day. ”And here I am , A professional ball player.
他回答說，“我想那應(yīng)該是在我還是小孩的時候，我經(jīng)常和我的父親一起打球，他告訴我，你只要堅持像這樣扔球，你終將會成為一名職業(yè)聯(lián)盟球員?！薄澳銏猿窒裎疫@樣揮桿，長大后就會進(jìn)入職業(yè)聯(lián)盟?！彼袁F(xiàn)在的我就成為一個職業(yè)的棒球運動員。
The room become quite, and innate who asked the question said, “You know the same thing happened to me. ”
房間變得很安靜，被提問的那個囚犯說，“你知道嗎，同樣的問題在我身上也發(fā)生過?！?/p>
“When I was a little boy , my father told me that I was good for nothing, and one day I would end up in prison. And here I am .”
“當(dāng)我還是和孩子的時候，我父親就告訴我，我一事無成，最終我會進(jìn)監(jiān)獄，所以我成了現(xiàn)在這個樣子。”
Sticks and stones can break bones, but words can break hearts and dreams. How many times have we said something that is mean and hurtful.
棍棒和石頭可以傷及筋骨，但是語言可以讓人心碎，摧毀夢想。我們曾有多少次說過一些刻薄的傷人的話語。
And we don`t even know, and how ,many dreams have we killed just by our words. The next time you wanna say something that is mean, remember, words matter!
我們自己都沒有意識到，我們又扼殺了多少夢想，僅僅只是用我們的只眼片語，下次當(dāng)你想說一些傷人的話時，請記住，說話很重要！
