英語(yǔ)代詞用法詳解·指示代詞

　　在英語(yǔ)中表示“這(這)，那(些)”的代詞叫指示代詞，它們主要包括this, these, that, those 四個(gè)。見(jiàn)下表：

　　2. 指示代詞的用法注意點(diǎn)

　　(1) 若回指上文提到的事情，可用that或this，但要指下文敘述的事情時(shí)，則通常只用 this。如：

　　He married one of his students, and this [that] was known to us all. 他娶了他的一個(gè)學(xué)生，這是大家眾所周知的事。

　　Listen to this: the man is not a professor but a cheat. 大家聽(tīng)著：這個(gè)人不是教授，是騙子。

　　(2) that和those后可接定語(yǔ)從句，其通常結(jié)構(gòu)為 that which (=what), those who (=the people who)。如：

　　That which is beautiful is not always true. 美的東西未必真實(shí)。

　　Those who break the law should be punished. 違法者應(yīng)該受到懲罰。

　　【說(shuō)明】this和 these兩個(gè)指示代詞習(xí)慣上不接定語(yǔ)從句。

　　(3) this和that 可作程度副詞，相當(dāng)于so，用來(lái)修飾形容詞或副詞。如：

　　Is the problem that easy? 問(wèn)題有那么簡(jiǎn)單嗎?

　　The fish I caught was this big. 我捕到的那條魚(yú)有這么大。

　　(4) 不要誤解類(lèi)似以下句子的意思：

　　We’ve arranged to meet this day week. 我們安排好一星期后見(jiàn)面。
