愛和時(shí)間
Once upon a time, there was an island where all thefeelings lived:
從前，有一個(gè)島嶼上住著所有的感情：
Happiness,Sadness, Knowledge,and all of the others,including Love.
快樂，悲傷，知識(shí)，還有包括愛在內(nèi)的所有其他所有情感。
One day it was announced to the feelings that theisland would sink,
一天他們得到消息說這個(gè)島嶼將要沉沒，
so all constructed boats and left. Except for love.
除了愛以外，他們都修建了船只，打算離開。
Love was the only one who stayed.
只有愛無動(dòng)于衷，
Love wanted to hold out until the last possible moment.
她想在最后一刻才離開
When the island had almost sunk, Love decided to ask for help.
當(dāng)島嶼幾乎沉沒的時(shí)候愛決定尋求幫助。
Richness was passing by Love in a grand boat.
富裕乘著一艘巨輪從愛身旁經(jīng)過，
Love said,"Richness, can you take me with you?"
愛問:"富裕，你能帶上我嗎?"
Richness answered,"No,I can't.There is a lot of gold and silver in my boat.
富裕回答說:"不行，我的船上有很多金銀珠寶
There is no place here for you."
沒地方留給你了。"
Love decided to ask Vanity who was also passing by in a beautiful vessel.
愛決定求助于空虛，他正坐在一艘漂亮的船上。
"Vanity,please help me!"
"空虛，請(qǐng)幫幫我。"
"I can't help you, Love.You are all wet and might damage my boat,Vanity answered
"我?guī)筒涣四悖瑦?，你全身濕淋淋的?huì)毀了我的船的。"空虛回答說。
Sadness was close by so Love asked,"Sadness,let me go with you."
悲傷走了過來，于是愛問:"悲傷，讓我和你一塊走吧?"
"Oh...Love,I am so sad that I need to be by myself!"
"噢......愛，我很難過想一個(gè)人呆著!"
Happiness passed by Love,too,
快樂也從愛身邊經(jīng)過，
but she was so happy that she did not even hear when Love called her.
她太高興了竟然沒有聽到愛叫她。
Suddenly,there was a voice,"Come,Love, I will take you." It was an elder.
忽然，傳來一個(gè)聲音:來吧，愛，我載你。"是位老人。
So blessed and overjoyed,
愛是那么欣喜若狂，
Love even forgot to ask the elder where they were going.
竟忘記了問老人他們要去哪兒。
When they arrived at dry land,the elder went her own way.
到了一塊干地后，老人放下愛獨(dú)自走了。
Realizing how much was owed the elder,
意識(shí)到自己虧欠老人很多時(shí)，
Love asked Knowledge another elder,"Who helped me?
愛問另一位叫知識(shí)的老人:"幫我的是誰?"
"It was Time." Knowledge answered.
"是時(shí)間。"知識(shí)回答。
"Time?"asked Love."But why did Time help me?"
"時(shí)間?"愛問，"為什么時(shí)間要幫我?"
Knowledge smiled with deep wisdom and answered,
知識(shí)意味深長(zhǎng)地笑笑說:
"Because only Time is capable of understanding how valuable Love is."
"因?yàn)橹挥袝r(shí)間才懂得愛有多么珍貴。"
