亞哈船長(zhǎng)弄錯(cuò)啦，是我。艙里的油漏啦，先生。我們得吊起復(fù)滑車把油桶給起出來。
Up Burtons and break out? Now that we are nearing Japan; heave-to here for a week to tinker a parcel of old hoops?
吊起復(fù)滑車把油桶給起出來？我們既然就快到日本了；難道為了張羅這一堆破桶箍，要在這里停上一個(gè)星期嗎？
Either do that, sir, or waste in one day more oil than we may make good in a year. What we come twenty thousand miles to get is worth saving, sir.
不這樣做嘛，先生，那么，一天浪費(fèi)掉的油，就抵得上我們一年弄來的油還有余。我們趕了兩千英里弄來的油，就該多加愛惜呀，先生。

Yet I don't stop to plug my leak; for who can find it in the deep-loaded hull; or how hope to plug it, even if found, in this life's howling gale? Starbuck! I'll not have the Burtons hoisted.

Let the owners stand on Nantucket beach and outyell the Typhoons. What cares Ahab? Owners, owners? Thou art always prating to me, Starbuck, about those miserly owners, as if the owners were my conscience.
讓那些船東們站在南塔開特海灘上去叫皇天吧。干亞哈什么事？船東，船東？斯達(dá)巴克，你老是來跟我嘀咕那些吝嗇鬼的船東，好象那些船東就是我的良心。
