現(xiàn)在，請(qǐng)注意，這堵無法抗拒。不會(huì)受傷的硬墻的這種真不二價(jià)的推進(jìn)力，加上那里面的最有浮性的東西，

它游起來的時(shí)候，身后拖的又是一個(gè)碩大無比、驚人的生命，那只有把它估量成是由繩索拖著的一大堆木頭才較確切；

而且也象最小的昆蟲一般，一切都聽從著一個(gè)意志的指揮。
So that when I shall hereafter detail to you all the specialities and concentrations of potency everywhere lurking in this expansive monster;
所以，等我以后詳述這種龐大的巨獸那種無處不有威力的種種特色的時(shí)候，
when I shall show you some of his more inconsiderable braining feats;
等我告訴你它那些更為瑣碎的有關(guān)剖腦的事跡的時(shí)候，
I trust you will have renounced all ignorant incredulity, and be ready to abide by this;

you would not elevate one hair of your eye-brow.
你也準(zhǔn)會(huì)絕不動(dòng)容。
For unless you own the whale, you are but a provincial and sentimentalist in Truth.
因?yàn)槌悄愠姓J(rèn)了大鯨的價(jià)值，否則，在真理方面，你就不過是個(gè)思想狹隘者和感傷主義者而已。
But clear Truth is a thing for salamander giants only to encounter;
然而，既然懂得真理是只有那些不怕赴湯蹈火的巨人才辦得到的事情；
how small the chances for the provincials then?
那么褊狹的人不就機(jī)會(huì)很少了嗎？
