時(shí)差N小時(shí):臺(tái)北動(dòng)物園贏得接納兩只中國(guó)貓熊資格
臺(tái)北木柵動(dòng)物園已獲得從中國(guó)引進(jìn)一對(duì)大熊貓的資格。臺(tái)灣的人們最早可在今年年底一睹這種瀕危動(dòng)物的芳容。
A screening committee organized by the Forestry Bureau under the Council of Agriculture(COA) chose the Muzha zoo in Taipei to eventually house the pandas, over the private LeofooSafari Park in northern Hsinchu county.
“農(nóng)業(yè)委員會(huì)”下屬的“林業(yè)局”所組織的一個(gè)審查委員會(huì)最終確定，臺(tái)北木柵動(dòng)物園擊敗了新竹縣北部的六福村野生動(dòng)物園，獲得了安置這一對(duì)大熊貓的資格。
COA officials said in a statement that the Muzha zoo won the bid because the Leofoo park hadfailed to develop the necessary educational and research programs to go along with the pandas'arrival. In addition, the veterinary service at the Leofoo park is not good enough to handleemergency medical treatment demand.
“農(nóng)委會(huì)”的官員在一份聲明中稱，由于六福村野生動(dòng)物園未能完成迎接熊貓到來(lái)所必需的教育和研究的各個(gè)項(xiàng)目，因此接納大熊貓的資格最終花落木柵動(dòng)物園。此外，六福村野生動(dòng)物園的獸醫(yī)服務(wù)也不盡人意，無(wú)法滿足動(dòng)物緊急救治的需求。
Meanwhile, Taipei's city government says it has invested about NT$250 million to build a pandahouse, while Leofoo says it spent about a third of that sum on the project.
同時(shí)，臺(tái)北市政府稱，他們已投入約2.5元新臺(tái)幣用于興建熊貓館。而六福村用于該項(xiàng)目的款項(xiàng)僅為臺(tái)北市的三分之一。
"Taipei has prepared for many years to receive the pandas; we will consider them as our ownchildren and provide them with the best care," Taipei Mayor Hau Lung-bin was quoted assaying by Taipei city government spokesman Yang Hsiao-tung.

Due to the import procedures and quarantine measures, the two pandas might not arrive inTaiwan before the end of the year, according to the Taipei city government.
臺(tái)北市政府稱，由于還要完成引進(jìn)手續(xù)和檢疫措施方面的程序，這兩只大熊貓可能無(wú)法在今年年底之前到達(dá)臺(tái)灣。
