Scientists studying emotions have found that basicemotions like amusement, anger, fear, and sadnessare common among all cultures. And people fromdifferent cultures, whether they’re modernAmericans or pre modern aborigines, recognizesound cues like laughter to signify specificemotions. In other words, all people, everywherearound the world, laugh when they’re amused. Andcry when they’re sad. And make scared sounds whenthey’re scared. Even some non human animals, likechimps, have a type of laughter. So we may not allfind the same things funny or scary or sad. But we all feel and express these emotions.

研究情緒的科學(xué)家們發(fā)現(xiàn)在所有文化普通存在著四種基本情緒,比如：娛樂，憤怒，恐懼和悲傷。來自不同文化背景的人，無論他們是現(xiàn)代美國人或前現(xiàn)代原住民，識別諸如笑聲這樣的聲音提示來表示特殊的情緒。換句話說，全世界各地的人，他們被逗樂時會笑。傷心時會哭。害怕時會發(fā)出令人驚恐的聲音。甚至一些非人類的動物，如黑猩猩，有某種類型的笑聲。因此，看待同樣的事情，不是所有人都肝膽有趣，嚇人或是悲桑。但我們都能感覺并表達(dá)這些情緒。
