Everything about this statue means something.

這尊佛像的每一部分都有特定含義。

The Buddha is sitting in a lotus position, which showsthat he was like the beauty of a lotus floweremerging from the muddy waters of a pond.

佛陀的蓮花座坐姿，表示他猶如蓮花一般出淤泥而不染，寓意佛陀清凈無垢。

His face is that beautiful round shape, which issupposed to be a reflection of the perfection of themoon.

佛陀臉龐美麗圓潤(rùn)，猶如滿月。顯露佛陀福慧具足，完美無暇。

And his head is domed, which tells us just how wise he is.

佛頂猶如天蓋，代表佛陀智慧圓滿。

His hands are interesting because the right hand is raised in a gesture of blessing.

他的手勢(shì)也很有意思。他右手舉起做出賜福的手勢(shì)(施無畏印)。

This is the Buddha's vow that he will release the entire world from its suffering.

這代表了佛陀要救拔眾生苦難的誓言。

And on his chest he's got that so-called Swastika symbol.

其胸膛上有一個(gè)卍字符號(hào)(萬字符)。

Of course the Swastika was unfortunately appropriated by the Nazis, even though they got itthe wrong way round.

當(dāng)然，卍字符號(hào)很不幸被納粹黨濫用了，即使他們使用的是反方向的。

But what it actually means is the power of the universe,

其實(shí)卍字符號(hào)是指宇宙天地間的力量。

so this tells us that the Buddha's compassion and wisdom is available to all.

它告訴我們佛陀的悲憫與智慧是面向眾生的。

The Buddha statue sits on a lotus throne on top of an altar.

佛像結(jié)跏趺坐於在圣壇頂部的蓮座上。

It's surrounded by six smaller bronze statues.

四周圍繞著六個(gè)較小的青銅雕像(六天母)。

They're shown offering gifts like fruit and incense,

他們獻(xiàn)上水果及香之類的供品。

gifts that symbolise different aspects of Buddhist philosophy, all virtues which are necessary toachieve enlightenment.

這些供品代表佛教哲學(xué)的各個(gè)部分，也就是獲得證悟所必須的所有美德。
