What does Dharma mean to you?

對(duì)你來(lái)說(shuō)，“法”意味著什么?

According to my understanding, what Dharma is todo whatever you do, very practically, skilfully, for thebenefit of all beings, without causing any harm, andfor their wellbeing, including oneself and all, is Dharma.

根據(jù)我個(gè)人的理解，“法”就是隨心所欲做你想做的事，并且要腳踏實(shí)地，注重方法，去為眾生謀福祉，不要引起任何傷害。為了大家的幸福安康，包括自己和所有人。這就是“法”。

Dharma means the purity of heart.

“法”意味著心靈的純凈。

Dharma means peace, and Dharma means wellbeing of all human society.

“法”意味著平和。“法”意味著所有人類社會(huì)的幸福。

Are there special ways that you can achieve Dharma?

有什么特別的途徑來(lái)獲得“法”嗎?

Are there rules and regulations that show you what to do?

有沒(méi)有什么規(guī)則和章法教你如何做?

We are taught what causes suffering and what can cause suffering, and how to avoid causingsuffering in life, one's own life.

我們被教誨是什么帶來(lái)了苦難，什么可以帶來(lái)苦難，以及在自己的人生中如何避免招致苦難。

And when you implement those teachings, I think that is what really contributes towards one'sown wellbeing and others' wellbeing,

當(dāng)你去實(shí)踐這些教誨的時(shí)候，我想這才能真正促成自己與他人的幸福。

and I think that is considered Dharma.

這就是我所理解的“法”。

In the Buddhist context, the word Dharma refers, above all, to the teachings of the Buddha ashe rediscovered them in the process of his progress towards enlightenment.

在佛教的語(yǔ)境中，總體來(lái)講，“法”這個(gè)字指佛陀的教誨，這是他悟道的過(guò)程中重新領(lǐng)會(huì)的道理。

The reality of the Dharma which holds you free from suffering, is what they take the root of theword Dharma, which means to hold,

使你遠(yuǎn)離苦難的“法”，其真實(shí)意義正如"Dharma"一詞的詞根，是“保持”的意思。

and the Buddha said Dharma holds a being free from suffering.

而且佛陀說(shuō)，“法”使眾生免受苦難。
