Chapter Seven The House of Horrors

第七章 恐怖大宅院

The five friends meet at eight that evening.

五個(gè)朋友在那天晚上見(jiàn)面了。

Everyone has a scary costume.

每個(gè)人都穿上了恐怖的服裝。

Bill is a vampire. Nick is a skeleton. Susan is a ghost.

比爾是吸血鬼。尼克是骷髏。蘇珊是鬼。

When they see Kelly's costume they laugh and say, "Good evening, Mrs Abigail Cross!"

當(dāng)他們看到凱麗的服裝時(shí)，他們笑著說(shuō)，“晚上好，阿比蓋爾·克勞斯夫人!”

They cover the old table with a paper tablecloth.

他們用一塊紙桌布蓋在舊的桌子上。

Then they put the food and drinks on the table.

然后他們把食物和飲料擺放在桌上。

They light the candles because there is no electricity.

他們點(diǎn)上了蠟燭，因?yàn)闆](méi)有電。

Nick turns on his portable radio.

尼克打開(kāi)他的便攜式收音機(jī)。

Megan goes to the dark bedroom.

梅格恩去了那個(gè)幽暗的臥室。

She opens the door and looks inside.

她打開(kāi)門(mén)看了看里面。

The black dress and black boots are not there.

黑裙子和黑靴子不在那兒了。

She is afraid, but she says nothing to her friends.

Soon their friends arrive.

很快他們的朋友都到了。

They all have scary costumes and masks.

他們都穿上恐怖的衣服，戴上恐怖的面具。

"Is this a haunted house? It's very spooky," they say.

“這就是鬧鬼的房子?太令人毛骨悚然了，”他們說(shuō)。

No one answers.

沒(méi)有人回答。

Some boys and girls dance.

有一些男孩和女孩在跳舞。

Others eat, talk and laugh.

其他人則邊吃邊談邊笑。

Several hours pass. Everyone is happy.

幾個(gè)小時(shí)過(guò)去了。每個(gè)人都很開(kāi)心。

"It's a great party," they say.

“這個(gè)聚會(huì)太棒了，”他們說(shuō)。

"It's time for the treasure hunt," says Bill.

“尋寶藏的時(shí)間到了，”比爾說(shuō)。

"You all have different maps. Let's start."

“你們各自有不同的地圖。開(kāi)始吧。”

Everyone starts in a different room.

每個(gè)人都從不同的房間開(kāi)始。

Some start in the kitchen, others start in the bedrooms.

有些人從廚房開(kāi)始，有些人從臥室開(kāi)始。

Kelly takes her torch and goes downstairs to the basement.

凱麗拿著手電筒到樓下的地下室去了。

She looks inside a big barrel.

她看見(jiàn)里面有一個(gè)大的桶。

It is very dark and Kelly is in the basement alone.

很黑，凱麗獨(dú)自一人在地下室。

Suddenly there is a sweet smell of roses.

突然，有一股玫瑰的芳香。

She turns on her torch and she is terrified.

她打開(kāi)手電筒，她很害怕。

The old lady from the museum is standing by the barrel!

在博物館里的老婦人就站在木桶旁!

"You are not Abigail Cross. I am Abigail Cross.

“你不是阿比蓋爾·克勞斯。我才是阿比蓋爾·克勞斯。

Tonight is Halloween and you are in my house.

今晚是萬(wàn)圣節(jié)，而且你們?cè)谖业姆孔永铩?/p>

On this night we spirits look for young bodies.

就在這個(gè)晚上我們的靈魂要尋找年輕的生命。

When we find a young body we can live again.

當(dāng)我們發(fā)現(xiàn)鮮活的身體后，我們就可以活過(guò)來(lái)了。

At midnight my spirit enters your body.

午夜，我的靈魂將進(jìn)入到你的身體內(nèi)。

You must die so that I can live!"

你得死我才可以活!”
