CNN News:科學(xué)家稱搜尋外星生命 關(guān)鍵在水源

Alright. Alien life makes for a great headline. To be clear, humans haven`t found out. Scientists with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration believe finding water is key to finding signs of alien life since water harbors so many forms of life on earth. As they scour the solar system for water, they`re optimistic of finding life in really tiny forms in the years ahead.

對的!外星生命占據(jù)了頭條。但需要明確指出的是，目前人類還沒有發(fā)現(xiàn)外星生命。美國宇航局的科學(xué)家認(rèn)為，尋找水源是找到外星生命跡象的關(guān)鍵。因?yàn)樗杏说厍蛏细鞣N各樣的生命。所以科學(xué)家們在太陽系中尋找水源，要在未來的幾年發(fā)現(xiàn)各種小的生命形式，他們對此呈樂觀態(tài)度。

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Discovering alien life. It`s the holy grail of space exploration. Well, NASA`s chief scientist Ellen Stofan says that such a finding is not that far off. She expects that we`ll find indications of life within the next decade and definitive evidence within the next 30 years.

女：發(fā)現(xiàn)外星生命。這是探索太空神圣而夢寐以求的。美國宇航局首席科學(xué)家Ellen Stofan說，完成這一發(fā)現(xiàn)，距離并不遙遠(yuǎn)。她稱，我們會在未來十年里發(fā)現(xiàn)生命的跡象，在未來三十年里找到證據(jù)證實(shí)生命的存在。

We`re on the verge of things that people have wondered about for millennia. Are we alone?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Why the burst of optimism? Water. Water is a key ingredient in life as we know it and scientists say if you find water, your odds of finding life go up. And it turns out our galaxy is a soggy place.

女：為什么會樂觀感爆棚呢?水!自從我們知道水以來，它都是生命的重要組成成分。同時科學(xué)家稱，只要找到水，我們發(fā)現(xiàn)生命的幾率就會上升。而且證明我們的星系到處都是水。

Outside of our solar system, astronomers think there may be many worlds covered by deep oceans.

天文學(xué)家認(rèn)為，在太陽系以外，可能會有其他的星體被海洋所覆蓋。

So NASA says our galaxy and our solar system are awash in water and it`s just a matter of time until we find life on another planet. But don`t expect little green men.

所以，美國宇航局稱我們的星系和太陽系到處都是水，所以在其他的行星上找到生命只是時間的問題。但是千萬別期望會找到小綠人啊~!
