Members of the Greek Parliament have been meeting through the night ahead of a vote on a third international bailout. The finance minister U has warned unless MPs backed the deal within hours of meeting the Euro zone ministers later today, will be unable to give its approval. The opposition accused him of being provocative, from Athens Paul Adams.

He’ll be hoping that in return Greece's creditors will finally agree to do something to ease the country’s appalling burden of debt.

The Greek authority is sending a cruise liner to the island of C to hosue some of the thousands of migrants who have arrived there from the Middle East and North Africa. The ship will provide temporary shelter for up to two and a half thousand people. Migrants will be able to register on the ship and apply for travel documents for other parts of Europe.

The United States National Security Council says they are treating the allegations very seriously, a defence official told the BBC it was plausible that mustard gas been used against Kurdish forces in the north of Iraq. Earlier this week Kurdish officials said 65 fighters had suffered breathing difficulties after being attacked by Islamic State militants. Mustard gas is a banned chemical weapon and can cause blisters, blindness and respiratory problems.

The girl’s stepfather has been charged with rape.

An attempt of the Guatemala congress to strict president Otto Perez Molina of his immunity from prosecution in the wake of a corruption scandal has failed. There were 88 votes in favour of the motion, 17 fewer than needed. The Supreme Court gave the go ahead in June for an investigation into claims that businessmen paid millions of dollars in bribes to Guata mala officials to avoid import duties.

A Canadian teacher and an Indonesian teaching assistant were jailed in April. The pair maintained their innocent in the the case that was said to be fraught with irregularities. Their lawyers said there was no proof for the charges against them, and they would be freed.

Scientists have been analysing data produced by space craft which has for the first time, followed a comet at its closest point to the sun. The European Space Agency said the R craft have achieved a fantastic milestone after travelling alongside the comet for 750 million km. Picture shows the comet trailing water and dust as it hurtles to the hottest point of its orbit. Professor Monica G is part of the project team. We have never been this close to a comet when it is at it closest point to the sun, we have never learnt this sort of information before. It is absolutely amazing. The images, the data, the gas, the dust, the tail, the surface are wonderful.

The United States has handed the stolen Picasso painting to French officials 9 months after it was found in a package labeled as a handicraft worth about 30 dollars. The painting called L, so the hairdresser, is valued at 15 million dollars, it was discovered by customs officials in a shipment from Belgium to New Jersey. The painting, dating from Picassos cubist period, vanished from the archives of the Georges Pompidou Center in Paris more than a decade ago.
