straight face

Straight 的意思是直的。直線是 straight line. 曲線是 curved line.人在笑得時候，臉上會有很多 curved line(曲線);相反，人不笑得時候，臉很僵硬，所以叫 straight face。

We laughed, but Steve was straight-faced and seemed a little offended by the joke.聽完笑話，我們都笑了。只有史蒂夫板著臉，好像那個笑話還有點冒犯他似的。
