LESSON 46

第46課

One day John went to the pond to fish. His dog, Watch, went with him.

一天，約翰到池塘去釣魚(yú)。他的狗沃奇也跟著一起去。

John sat on a log for a time, but did not catch a fish.

約翰坐在圓木上待了一會(huì)兒，但他沒(méi)有釣到魚(yú)。

As he got up to go, he fell off the log.

就在他起身要走時(shí)，他摔下了圓木。

Watch sprang in to save him. John put his arms round the dog’s neck and was soon safe on the log once more.

沃奇跳進(jìn)池塘去救約翰。約翰把他的手臂繞在沃奇的脖子上，很快又安全地回到了圓木上。

“Thank you，my brave old dog,” said John to Watch.

“謝謝你，我勇敢的老朋友。”約翰對(duì)沃奇說(shuō)。
