First up, a shake up at the U.S. Transportation Security Administration. This is a part of the Department of Homeland Security. The TSA is responsible for responsible for protecting America`s transportation system. And its acting administration, Melvin Carraway, has been reassigned to another job.

首先美國運(yùn)輸安全管理局將要進(jìn)行大改。該管理局屬于國土安全部的一部分。運(yùn)輸安全管理局對保護(hù)美國運(yùn)輸系統(tǒng)負(fù)責(zé)。并且該機(jī)構(gòu)執(zhí)行管理人Melvin Carraway被重新分配到了其他崗位。

Why? Undercover agents recently tried to smuggle illegal items like fake explosives at TSA checkpoints. In almost all of the tests, the TSA failed to find them. It`s since been directed to take a number of steps to make sure this doesn`t happen again.

A Homeland Security spokesperson says these reports never look good out of context, but that they`re important in the continual evolution of airline security.
