First up, a shake up at the U.S. Transportation Security Administration. This is a part of the Department of Homeland Security. The TSA is responsible for responsible for protecting America`s transportation system. And its acting administration, Melvin Carraway, has been reassigned to another job.

首先美國運輸安全管理局將要進行大改。該管理局屬于國土安全部的一部分。運輸安全管理局對保護美國運輸系統(tǒng)負責。并且該機構執(zhí)行管理人Melvin Carraway被重新分配到了其他崗位。

Why? Undercover agents recently tried to smuggle illegal items like fake explosives at TSA checkpoints. In almost all of the tests, the TSA failed to find them. It`s since been directed to take a number of steps to make sure this doesn`t happen again.

為什么呢?走私販最近試圖通過運輸安全管理局走私假炸藥。在經(jīng)過的所有測試中運輸安全管理局并沒有發(fā)現(xiàn)這些走私販。從此需要采取更多措施來確保這種事情不再發(fā)生。

A Homeland Security spokesperson says these reports never look good out of context, but that they`re important in the continual evolution of airline security.
