First up, a major speech by a world leader. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu appeared before the U.S. Congress yesterday. Usually, the White House is consulted before Congress invites a world leader to speak. But Republican House speaker, John Boehner didn`t tell the president before this invitation and one subject covered by Prime Minister Netanyahu is something President Obama strongly disagrees with.

首先我們以一位世界領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人的重要講話(huà)開(kāi)始今天的新聞。以色列總理內(nèi)塔尼亞胡在昨天出現(xiàn)在美國(guó)國(guó)會(huì)。通常國(guó)會(huì)邀請(qǐng)世界領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人來(lái)美做演講需要與白宮方面提前進(jìn)行商定。但是共和黨眾議院發(fā)言人博納表示在邀請(qǐng)發(fā)出之前沒(méi)有將此事件向總統(tǒng)報(bào)告，并且此次會(huì)議的主題是奧巴馬強(qiáng)烈反對(duì)的問(wèn)題。

More than 50 of the 232 Democrats in Congress boycotted the speech, though the public galleries were standing room only.

盡管?chē)?guó)會(huì)已經(jīng)被共和黨派議員控制，但是國(guó)會(huì)232個(gè)議員席位中還是有超過(guò)50個(gè)民主黨人對(duì)該講話(huà)表示抵制。

Prime Minister Netanyahu is up for reelection on March 17th.

內(nèi)塔尼亞胡總理正在就3月17號(hào)的選舉做準(zhǔn)備工作。
