[誤] He shot the rabbit but it managed to escape.

[正] He shot at the rabbit but it managed to escape.

注：shot 單獨用有“射中”或“射死”的意思，用在這里顯然前后矛盾。又如：She shot the wolf jumping on her(她射死了撲向她的狼)。shot at 才表示“朝......瞄準”，而不管是否射中。
