1) May I introduce you to my friend Susan?
   恕我介紹一下我的朋友蘇珊。
   * “May I...?”是“可以……嗎？”的意思，用以求取承諾或允許時(shí)使用的措辭，是極為重要的用法之一。
   e.g. You may come if you wish.
        如果你愿意的話，你就來吧。

2) This is my friend Susan.
   這位是我的朋友蘇珊。
   * 注意這里要用“This is...”，而不說“She is...”。

3) I'm glad to meet you.
   幸會(huì)。高興見到你。
   * 若要強(qiáng)調(diào)高興，可如 I am so glad to...般把 so 插在里面。這 so 多見于女性使用。

4) Cathy has told me so much about you.
   我常常聽到凱茜提到你。
   * so much about you 是“提到很多有關(guān)你的事”的意思。

5) Goodbye, it was nice meeting you.
   再見，很榮幸認(rèn)識(shí)你。
   * 這是美國一般用于和首次認(rèn)識(shí)的人道別的招呼語。
     也可以說做“I'm glad to have met you.”。

6) How have you been?
   你過的還好嗎？
   * 這是問人自前次離開之后情況的慣用表達(dá)。

7) I haven't seen you for a long time.
   好久沒有見到你了。
   * 也蘊(yùn)含著“如何打發(fā)日子”的意思。

8) How is it going with you?
   你過得怎樣？
   * 問現(xiàn)在的情況，常用于日常會(huì)話中。

9) Please stop by (drop in) sometime.
   請(qǐng)于近日過來坐坐。
   * stop by 是“順道來”，有時(shí)也使用 stop in 或 drop in。
