第十八章 賓語 直接賓語和間接賓語

　　賓語主要可分為兩類：

　　1 .直接賓語：

　　大多數(shù)及物動詞都可跟直接賓語：

　　We'll take an X-ray of your chest .我們將透視一下你的胸部。

　　She made an important discove 習(xí)，她有重大發(fā)現(xiàn)。

　　有些成語動詞也可跟直接賓語：

　　We are looking for an apartment .我們在找住房。

　　He filled out the money order .他把匯票填好。

　　What job are you applying for ?你申請什么工作?

　　He takes after his father .他長得像他父親。

　　2 .間接賓語：

　　有一些動詞可跟兩個賓語，一般前面是間接賓語，后面是直接賓語：

　　The doctor gave him a prescription .醫(yī)生給他開了處方。

　　She showed the girls her new dress .她把新衣服拿給姑娘們看。

　　I'll lend you something to read .我借點書給你看。

　　Can you do me a favour ?你能幫我一個忙嗎?

　　間接賓語有的可改為一個由to 或for 引起的短語：

　　Pass me the salt . /Pass the salt to me .把鹽遞給我.

　　She sent me a postcard./ She sent a postcard to us .她寄給我們一張明信片.

　　Sing us a song !/ Sing a song for us !給我們唱一支歌!

　　Mother made him a coat? Mother made a coat for him .

　　媽給他做了一件大衣.

　　能跟兩個賓語的動詞稱為雙賓動詞(ditransitive verbs ) ，常見的有g(shù)ive , snow , send , bring , offer , read , pass , lend , leave , hand , tell , write , pay , throw , allow , wish , teach , promise , award , accord , grant , owe , deny 等(這類動詞的間接賓語可改為to 引起的短語), 及make , buy , do , fetch , get , paint , play , save , reserve , order , cook , sing , find 等(這類動詞的間接賓語可改為for 引起的短語)。關(guān)于雙賓動詞可參閱第72 節(jié)。
