　　1. across:

　　1)穿過，跨過：

　　I walked across the park.

　　我從公園穿了過去。

　　There are little bridges across the canal.

　　在運(yùn)河上有許多小橋。

　　2)在……對面：

　　The school was across the street.

　　學(xué)校在街對面。

　　He lives across the river.

　　他住在河對面。

　　3)用于下面成語：

　　Where did you come across him?

　　你在哪里碰到他的?

　　I ran across him yesterday.

　　我是昨天碰到他的。

　　2. after:

　　l)在……之后：

　　It is easy to be wise after the event.

　　當(dāng)事后諸葛亮是容易的。(諺)

　　After saying goodbye to her，I returned home.

　　和她道別后我就回家了。

　　I'll come to see you the day after tomorrow.

　　我后天來看你。

　　2)在……后面：

　　Shut the door after you.

　　隨手關(guān)門。

　　After you，sir.

　　先生，你先走。

　　3)仿照：

　　4)用于某些成語：
