　　1.在某些動(dòng)詞后可用現(xiàn)在分詞構(gòu)成復(fù)合賓語:

　　At this moment she noticed Paul coming in.

　　這時(shí)她看到保羅走了進(jìn)來。

　　He watched us eating.

　　他瞧著我們吃飯。

　　She caught him smoking a cigarette.

　　她撞見他在抽煙。

　　She doesn't like me living here.

　　她不喜歡我住在這里。

　　The smoke started her coughing.

　　煙使他咳嗽起來。

　　He hates people asking him for money.

　　他討厭別人向他要錢。

　　I found him working in the garden.

　　我發(fā)現(xiàn)他在花園里干活。

　　I don't remember father saying anything like that.

　　我不記得父親說過這樣的話。

　　2.這類句子也可用于被動(dòng)結(jié)構(gòu)(斜體部分可說是復(fù)合謂語)：

　　She was seen chatting with someone at the door.

　　有人看見她在門邊和人聊天。

　　Voices were heard calling for help.

　　有人聽見求救聲。

　　One of the kids was reported missing.

　　據(jù)報(bào)導(dǎo)有一個(gè)孩子失蹤了。

　　They were found all living in one room.

　　人們發(fā)現(xiàn)他們所有的人都住在一間屋里。

　　3.還有一些動(dòng)詞后面可以跟由過去分詞構(gòu)成的復(fù)合賓語(這類句子用于被動(dòng)結(jié)構(gòu)時(shí)很少):

　　We'll get you X-rayed.

　　我們要讓你去透視。

　　I've just had a photograph taken.

　　我剛照了一張像。

　　Yon should always make yourself understood.

　　你應(yīng)經(jīng)常讓人了解你的意思。

　　He felt himself compelled to take action.

　　他感到自己不得不采取行動(dòng)。

　　They acknowledged themselves(to be)defeated.

　　他們承認(rèn)自己被擊敗。

　　I don't want anything said against her.

　　我不愿意有人說她的壞話。
