　　助動(dòng)詞do可以用來：

　　1.構(gòu)成疑問句：

　　Does he know Chinese?

　　他懂漢語(yǔ)嗎?

　　How do you like the weather here?

　　你覺得這里的天氣如何?

　　Did you go by train or by plane?

　　你是坐火車還是坐飛機(jī)去的?

　　She likes the food，doesn't she?

　　她喜歡這個(gè)菜，對(duì)吧?

　　2.構(gòu)成否定句：

　　Don't bother to answer the letter.

　　不要煩你回信了。

　　We don't see much of each other.

　　我們不常見面。

　　He doesn't care for fish.

　　他不愛吃魚。

　　I didn't know you were here.

　　我不知道你在這兒。

　　3.表示前面所說動(dòng)作，以避免重復(fù)：

　　-Do you work together?

　　-Yes.we do.

　　-你們?cè)谝黄鸸ぷ鲉?

　　-是的。(我們?cè)谝黄鸸ぷ鳌?

　　You don't want to be late.Neither does she.

　　你不想遲到，她也不想遲到。

　　You're doing better than you did last term

　　你這學(xué)期比上學(xué)期表現(xiàn)好。

　　I said he would fail，and he did.

　　我說他會(huì)失敗，他真的失敗了。

　　4.加強(qiáng)語(yǔ)氣(起強(qiáng)調(diào)作用)：

　　I do think you’re right.

　　我確實(shí)認(rèn)為你是對(duì)的。

　　She does feel that way.

　　她確實(shí)有這種感覺。

　　She did say that.

　　她確實(shí)這樣說的。

　　Do be careful.

　　千萬(wàn)小心。

　　5. do在更多情況下用作實(shí)意動(dòng)詞，用法很靈活，可表示許多意思，如：

　　Martin has done an excellent article.

　　馬丁寫了一篇精彩的文章。

　　He has done a portrait of Lilly.

　　他畫了一張麗麗的畫像。

　　We are doing the dishes.

　　我們?cè)谙赐搿?/p>

　　Have you done your teeth?

　　He has done Horace into English verse.
