Franklin stays up
Franklin can count by twos and tie his shoes. He liked camp-outs and getting to stay up late. And one night Franklin was determined to stay up later than ever before.
S: I can’t wait until tonight.
R: Yeah…
F: Camp outs are great. The best thing about camp outs is there’s no bedtime. When we went camping last year, Dad let me stay up until midnight.
S: really?
B: Do you think we can stay up late tonight?
F: Let’s go ask my Dad.
B: And let’s go ask your Mom if she can make pancakes in the morning.
F:Did you remember the tape player, rabbit?
R:Yeah
S: I brought a clock so we’ll know what time it is.
B: And I brought some popcorn to share when we get hungry.
F: Gee Bear, you brought enough to last us until morning.
S: That’s it !
R: Why don’t we stay up all the way until morning?
S: We can watch the sun come up.
R: Why not?
B: It sounds like fun.
F: Okay
R: Tag, you’re it!
B: Tag, you’re it!
Look! It’s ten o’clock!
R: It’s already two whole hours past my bedtime!
B: Before we know it the sun will be coming up.
F: I hear something outside!
H: franklin
Father: Harriet woke up and wanted to see big brother.
F: Good night, Harriet.
H: Night-night, Franklin.
Father: You boys might want to turn in soon yourselves. You don’t want to too tired to play tomorrow.
F: We’re staying up all night, dad!
B: We’re going to watch the sun come up!
Fr: Alright then…sweet dreams.
F: Dreams? We won’t be dreaming.
B: Not tonight.
S: That’s for sure.
F: When was the last time you change the batteries, Rabbit?
R: It takes batteries?
S: Let’s have some more popcorn.
F: Yeah, I’m getting hungry. That should help keep us awake.
R: It’s all gone!
B: Don’t look at me…Besides, there’s still some left.
Night time sure lasts a lot longer than I thought.
F:Night time sure lasts a lot longer than I thought.
R:What time is it?
:Looks like someone needs his beauty sleep.
S: What, I wasn’t sleeping! I was just resting my eyes.

B:Cut it out snail. Yawning is catching.
B: It’s a dog. You don’t want three times already.
F: Your turn, rabbit.
R: That’s an easy one..
F: It’s a rabbit. Your turn, bear.
R: It’s a hibernating bear.
F: We’d better wake them up.
F:wake up, you guys
S: Let me sleep. Go outside if you make so much noise.
R: two down and two to go
R: But I’m not thirsty, Franklin.

H:Ahh!
F:Harriet….Please don’t cry!
H: Fwankin!
R: Now what?
F: Don’t worry. I’ll read her a bed time story and then she’ll be back to sleep in no time. Once upon a time, there were three little pigs…
H: Piggy…
