　　本句亦為道歉用語之一，用以請求對方的寬恕與原諒，說此話時，務(wù)必發(fā)自內(nèi)心深處，對方才會感受到我們的誠意。

　　A：This is the end，Jane.I don’t want a girlfriend who goes out with other guys all the time.

　　甲：我們之間完了，簡。 我不想找個老是跟其他男生約會的女友。

　　B：I won’t do it again.Please forgive me.

　　乙：我不會再犯了，請原諒我。

　　A：No way.I’ve given you too many chances already.

　　甲：不行，我已經(jīng)給你太多次機會了。

　　上列對話中，“This is the end.”系由“This is the end of our relationship.”化簡而來。 另外詞組“go out with +人”，原意為“與某人外出”，此處引申表示“與某人約會”。

　　(他昨晚與瑪麗約會。)

　　=He had a date with Mary last night.

　　=He dated* Mary last night.

　　*date 為及物動詞，表示“與某人約會”，不可說“He dated with Mary.”。
