Less than three weeks away from the U.S. midterm elections, we are exploring what exactly Americans will be voting for. First up today on CNN STUDENT NEWS. Five things to know about the midterms.

One, they are called midterms because they happen in the middle of a president`s four year term. So, voters aren`t choosing a president this year.
