M:喂，瑪麗，最近怎么樣?
F:Just so so. Last night I met this great guy at the bar and we had such a wonderful time，so we decided to meet again tonight.
F:還行吧，昨天晚上在酒吧里遇到一個特別好的人，我們玩得非常開心，于是決定今天晚上再見一面。
M:Oh，that's exciting. What does this guy look like? Is he hot?
M:哦，真不錯。這個人長得什么樣啊，帥嗎?
F:Well，I didn't think so at first. But as we started talking, I found him extremely funny and witty. I couldn't stop laughing at his jokes!And we have so much in common. We like the same team，music，and most amazingly，we both love Chinese food!I have the feeling that we are going to be great friends.
F:我剛開始的時候不覺得，可是聊起天來，我發(fā)現(xiàn)他特別風(fēng)趣幽默，他講的笑話讓我笑個不停。而且我們還有很多共同點(diǎn)，我們喜歡同一支球隊，相同的音樂，最不可思議的是，我們都喜歡中國菜!我覺得我們會成為很好的朋友的。
M:It seems you two are a good match.What qualities do you look for in a friend?
M:看來你們倆還挺般配的。你找朋友時看重什么品質(zhì)呢?
F:There's nothing definite I think. I don't have a list or anything，but when I first meet somebody，I can usually tell whether or not that person is going to be a good friend. It seems I have radar helping me spot new friends.
F:我覺得并不是非要有特別的品質(zhì)。我沒有什么特別的要求，但是當(dāng)我第一次遇見一個人時，我通常能知道他能不能成為我的好朋友。我好像擁有一個雷達(dá)，幫助我在人群中找到我的朋友。
M:Well，that's something I've never heard of. But if you ask me what I value most in a friend, I would say honesty.
M:還沒聽過這個說法呢，但是要我說什么是朋友最重要的品質(zhì)，我覺得就是誠實。
F:I agree. You can't expect a close relationship with a dishonest person.Those are the people that will turn their back on you when you are in need.
F:我同意你的說法，和一個不誠實的人在一起肯定不會有深層次的交往，他們往往會在你需要的時候離你而去。
M:Yeah，I know. A friend in need is a friend indeed. I don't need fair-weather friends either.
M:是的，我知道，患難見真情。我也不想要只能同甘不能共苦的朋友。
