突破英語口語練習(xí)："水落石出"英語不是water down stone out！

“水落石出”的英文難道和“水、石頭”有關(guān)嗎？Water and Stone？水嘩嘩嘩的落下去后石頭就漏出來了~
Absolutely not??！
其實大家都知道本成語的意思，實際就是“弄清楚真相”而已啦，和什么山啦水啦沒有關(guān)系滴~~
那么究竟該如何表達？用這個?。?！看過來！

bottom =臀部；末端
get to the bottom就是去到末端，追根問底，深處挖掘的意思啦，那么搞清楚什么的真相就是of something來表示從屬啦~
【例句】
- I'm determined to get to the bottom of this, come hell or high water.
-不管有多大困難，我決心把這件事弄個水落石出。
→come hell or high water = in spite of all obstacles就算天崩地裂 （指不畏險阻，排除萬難）

大家早知道dollar是美元，如果你口袋里只剩最底下的那一美元了，你手頭一定相當(dāng)拮據(jù)。
