1. 表示具體的買賣東西的“市場(chǎng)”，是可數(shù)名詞。如：

There are a lot of small markets in this town. 這個(gè)鎮(zhèn)里有許多小市場(chǎng)。

2. 表示“去市場(chǎng)（購物等）”，通?？墒÷怨谠~。如：

He went to (the) market to sell what he had made. 他去市場(chǎng)賣自制品。

有時(shí)表示“趕集”。如：

The market is held twice a week. 每周有兩次趕集。

3. 有時(shí)用于引申義，表示相對(duì)于商品和銷售意義上的“市場(chǎng)”或“市場(chǎng)需求”（可數(shù)或不可數(shù)）。如：

The product will find a good market in Europe. 這種產(chǎn)品會(huì)在歐洲有好的銷路。
