Our ncighbour, Captain Charles Alison, will sail fromPortsmouth tomorrow. We shall meet him at theharbour early in the morning. He will be in his smallboat, Topsail. Tapsail is a famous little boat. It hassailed across the Atlantic many times. Captain Alisonwill set out at eight o'clock. So we shall have plentyof time. We shall see his boat and then we shall saygood-bye to him. He will be away for two months.We are very proud of him. He will take part in an important race across the Atlantic.

他將參加一場(chǎng)重要的橫渡大西洋的比賽。

語(yǔ)言點(diǎn)1 復(fù)習(xí)有關(guān)“參加”的詞和短語(yǔ)：enter for，join, attend等。

語(yǔ)言點(diǎn)2 across the Atlantic為介詞短語(yǔ)，作race的后置定語(yǔ)。
