Mid-Autumn Day

Lisa： Nice weather，isn't it? It sure was hot last week.

Gina： I'm glad it is getting cooler as we are into autumn now．Today is Mid-Autumn Day .

Lisa： What's that?

Gina： It is a traditional Chinese holiday．It falls on the 15th day of the eighth moon according to the lunar calendar .

Lisa： What do you do on Moon Festival?

Gina： It's a time for family reunion ．In ancient times，people have worshipped the full moon .

Lisa： Any special food?

Gina： Yes，we eat moon cake for dessert．But the moon cakes are loaded with calories，so it's not for the fat people who are on a diet．The best way to wash down these cakes is with a cup of Chinese tea，especially Jasmine or Chrysanthemum tea．Tea aids the digestion.

Lisa： Wow，you are so knowledgeable．You know，I'm interested in different culture．Chinese festival is very interesting，too．Would you mind telling me about the Mid–Autumn Day?

Gina： OK，Speaking of eating moon cakes，we have to talk about the story between Chang-Eand Hou Yi .

Lisa： Is that true?

Gina： No．It's not true．It's only legend.

中秋節(jié)

琳達(dá)： 今天天氣真好。上星期好熱呀！

吉娜： 真高興，是秋天了，涼快一點(diǎn)兒了。今天是中秋節(jié)。

琳達(dá)： 什么是中秋節(jié)？

吉娜： 是一個(gè)傳統(tǒng)中國節(jié)日，農(nóng)歷的八月十五日。

琳達(dá)： 中秋節(jié)做什么呢？

吉娜： 是全家團(tuán)圓的日子。古代還有拜月的習(xí)俗。

琳達(dá)： 有沒有什么傳統(tǒng)的食物？

吉娜： 有，我們吃月餅當(dāng)甜點(diǎn)。月餅所含的熱量較大，因此不適合那些在減肥的肥胖人士的。吃這種糕點(diǎn)最好就著一杯中國茶，特別是茉莉花茶或是菊花茶，茶水可以幫助消化。

琳達(dá)： 喔，你真博學(xué)。你知道，我對不同的文化很感興趣的。中國的節(jié)日也是非常有趣的。你能給我講講中秋節(jié)嗎？

吉娜： 好啊，談到吃月餅，我們要談到有關(guān)嫦娥和后羿的故事。

琳達(dá)： 那故事是真實(shí)的嗎？

吉娜： 不，不是真實(shí)的。它僅僅是個(gè)傳說。
