Seeing a Doctor
Doctor: Hi, Mr. Black. I'm Dr. Clinton. Why are you here today?
Mr. Black: I thought it would be a good idea to get a check-up .
Doctor: Yes, well. You haven't got it for 3 years. You'd better have physical examination every year.
Mr. Black: I know. I figure, as long as there's nothing wrong, why I go to see the doctor ? Actually I really don't like hospital .
Doctor: Well, the best way to avoid serious illnesses is to diagnose early. For you own good, try to come every year.
Mr. Black: OK.
Doctor: Let me see here. Your ears and eyes look fine. Have deep breath, please. Do you drink alcohol?
Mr. Black: Yes.
Doctor: Alcohol is the leading cause of liver cancer and heart disease , you know it. You'd better quit.
Mr. Black: I've tried hundreds of times. But I just can't kick the habit.
Doctor: Well, We have classes and some medications that might help.
Mr. Black: OK, thanks, doctor.
