[00:01.08]Blue’s Song 布魯?shù)母? [00:06.66]Blue’s mother was dead when he was young. [00:09.94]And now his father was to leave home to find work in the town. [00:15.30]“Son, remember what I told you. Take care of yourself. [00:21.02]I’ll be home as fast as I can.” [00:23.94]After his father left, Blue kept himself busy, [00:28.18]as he had to gather wood in the forest. [00:31.16]He remembered his father’s advice, [00:33.40]“Sing your blues away and make believe that everything will be alright.” [00:39.58]So Blue sang and gathered his wood happily. [00:44.29]As birds flew by, [00:46.58]they too would chirp along merrily when they heard Blue singing. [00:50.75]One day, he did not notice that a stranger was watching him. [00:55.45]It was only when the man called out that Blue lifted up his head. [00:59.94]“Boy, why are you singing? Are you not cold?” [01:05.63]“I was but I’ve been so busy I am warm,” replied Blue. [01:11.09]“Your clothes are rags, you’re thin and hungry. [01:15.58]Surely you can’t be happy. Why do you sing? It’s silly.” [01:20.40]“Not at all, I had sung my blues away. [01:24.12]I also convinced myself that I am the happiest boy in the country. [01:28.35]I am really happy!” [01:29.91]“Oh, can you help me? I have a little boy who cries all day. [01:36.15]I give him everything he asks for. Yet he is unhappy. [01:41.29]Please come and sing him your song and teach him your secret. [01:45.67]You’re a brave little boy!” the stranger pleaded. [01:49.17]Blue nodded. [01:50.92]The stranger took Blue to a big cottage in the forest. [01:55.30]In a beautiful room lay a sick boy on a silken couch. [01:59.56]His eyes were red as he had been crying. [02:02.96]He looked angrily at his father and stared at Blue. [02:07.00]The father took his son’s hands [02:09.76]and told him how he saw Blue in the woods [02:12.47]singing and looking happy in spite of being hungry and cold. [02:16.52]Blue came towards the boy and asked. [02:19.58]“Would you like me to sing you a song? [02:22.65]If you like it then I will continue.” [02:25.39]As Blue sang, the boy smiled as he could feel that Blue sang with his heart. [02:31.29]“What a beautiful song!” cried the boy, [02:34.90]“Can you stay with me and teach me to sing so that I will not be sad?” [02:40.39]“Of course, I will.” So Blue sang and taught the boy how to be happy. [02:46.06]Singing your blues away also means singing your troubles away. [02:51.20]In simple terms “never let trouble trouble you.”
