Danny wakes up early in the morning.
Today is the last day of school. His class is going to have a party.
He is going to make a cake.他準備做一個蛋糕. Danny begins working on his cake.
Oh,no! He forgets how to make a cake!他忘了怎么做蛋糕!
How much flour do I need?需要多少面粉? How many eggs do I need?需要多少雞蛋?
I think I remember.我想我還記得. He puts some flour and salt in the cake.
He puts some eggs and milk in the cake. He puts some oil in the cake.他放了一些油.
There! After the cake is cool,蛋糕涼了以后,
he makes a special picture on it. Danny carries his cake to school.
How far is school?學校有多遠! It is one kilometre from Danny's house.
Danny walks slowly because the cake is heavy. He is late for school.他遲到了.
In the afternoon,the class party begins. Mr. Wood has brought some ice cream.
Jenny has made cookies.珍妮帶來了餅干. Every cookie looks like someone in the class!
Danny's cake is special,too.丹尼的蛋糕也很特別. It looks like Canada's flag.上面是加拿大的國旗.
This cake looks great,Danny!這蛋糕太好了,丹尼! Thanks!It's surprise cake.謝謝!這是驚喜蛋糕!
What's the surprise?驚喜是什么呢? I'm not going to tell you.我不告訴你.
You will see!你會發(fā)現(xiàn)的. Everyone has a cookie,每個人都有一塊餅干,
a piece of cake and some ice cream. Then someone says,
"Danny,I think you forgot something." "What did I forget?"我忘了什么?
"I think you forgot to put sugar in the cake!" Oh,no!
The cake isn't good!蛋糕不好吃! Danny forgot the sugar!丹尼忘了放糖!
"Is that the surprise?"這就是驚喜嗎? asks Jenny.
"No,"says Danny sadly. Then someone says,一會有人喊道,
"Look!I found a dollar in my cake!" "Me,too!"says someone else.
Soon everyone has a dollar. Every piece of cake has a dollar in it!
"That's the surprise!"says Danny. "Thanks,Danny!
This cake is the best!"這是最好的蛋糕! everyone says.
"Let's send Li Ming a piece of cake!" says Mr. Wood.
He gets a box and puts a piece of surprise cake in it.
He puts Li Ming's address on the box. The next week, Li Ming gets a box from Canada.
Inside,he finds a piece of very old, very dry cake!
There is a letter,too.還有一封信. Dear Li Ming,
This is surprise cake.這是驚喜蛋糕. It has two surprises.它有兩個驚喜.
It isn't good to eat.它不好吃. That's the first surprise.這是一個意外.
Danny made it and he forgot the sugar. The second surprise is inside the cake!
We miss you!我們想念你! From Mr. Wood and your friends in Canada
Li Ming looks insid the cake.李明看了蛋糕里面. Thanks,Danny!
