“他比我高” 用英語(yǔ)說(shuō)是 “He is taller than me.”。如果想說(shuō)他比我 “高一點(diǎn)” 或 “高很多”,應(yīng)該在 “taller” 前加上哪類(lèi)詞?

I'm going to explain how to modify comparative adjectives.

To describe a small difference, you can use the words 'a bit', 'a little' or 'slightly', for example:

Tom is a bit taller than me.

Tom is a little taller than me.

And, Tom is slightly taller than me.

To compare big differences, you can use 'a lot', 'significantly', 'far' and 'much', for example:

Physics is much more difficult than history.

Physics is a lot more difficult than history.

Physics is far more difficult than history.

Or, Physics is significantly more difficult than history.

The final thing to mention is which words can't be used with comparative adjectives.

'Very' and 'really' can never be used in a comparative sentence.

Compare comparative adjectives with 'a bit', 'a little', 'slightly' for small differences, or 'a lot', 'significantly', 'far' and 'much' for big differences.

用法總結(jié)

1. 在形容詞比較級(jí)前用 “a bit”、“a little” 或 “slightly” 來(lái)比較兩者的細(xì)微差別。
I think it's slightly warmer today.
He said that the test was a bit longer.

2. 在形容詞比較級(jí)前用 “a lot”、“significantly”、“far” 或 “much” 來(lái)比較兩者的重大差別。
I think it's a lot warmer today.
He said that the test was significantly longer.

3. 不能用 “very” 和 “really” 修飾形容詞比較級(jí)。
