在我開口以前，他說話了：“在我又想去追捕他們以前，去把杰西卡和安吉拉叫住。要是我再碰上你另一些朋友，我不認(rèn)為我還能管得住自己。”
I shivered at the threat in his voice.
他話語里的威脅讓我不寒而栗。
"Jess! Angela!" I yelled after them, waving when they turned. They rushed back to me, the pronounced relief on both their faces simultaneouslychanging to surprise as they saw who I was standing next to. They hesitated a few feet from us.
“杰西!安吉拉!”我在她們背后大喊著，當(dāng)她們回過頭來時，我用力揮著手。她們轉(zhuǎn)身向我沖回來，但在看清和我站在一起的人以后，臉上顯而易見的寬慰瞬間變成了驚訝。她們在離我只有幾英尺遠(yuǎn)的地方躊躇著。
"Where have you been?" Jessica's voice was suspicious.
“你上哪兒去了?”杰西卡的聲音里充滿了懷疑。
"I got lost," I admitted sheepishly. "And then I ran into Edward." I gestured toward him.
“我迷路了。”我羞怯地承認(rèn)道。“然后我碰見了愛德華。”我向他做了個手勢。
"Would it be all right if I joined you?" he asked in his silken, irresistible voice. I could see from their staggered expressions that he had never unleashed his talents on them before.
“我可以加入你們嗎?”他用絲綢一樣柔軟的，讓人無法抗拒的聲音問道。我能從她們臉上吃驚的神情看出，此前他從未對她們施展過他的天賦。
"Er… sure," Jessica breathed.
“唔……當(dāng)然。”杰西卡喘息著說。
"Um, actually, Bella, we already ate while we were waiting — sorry," Angela confessed.
“呃，事實上，貝拉，在我們等待的時候我們就吃過了——抱歉。”安吉拉坦白道。
"That's fine — I'm not hungry." I shrugged.
“沒關(guān)系——我不餓。”我聳聳肩。
