我看不見

An Irishman was once serving in a regiment in India.He did not like the climate there and decided to thinkout a trick by which he could get homw. He went tothe doctor and said to him, "my eyesight is very bad.Can you help me?"

一個愛爾蘭人曾在印度的一個團里服役。他不喜歡那里的氣候，決定耍個花招，那樣他就能回家了。他來到醫(yī)生那里說：“我的視力很差，你能幫幫我嗎?”

The doctor looked at him for a while and then asked, "Well, but how can you prove to me that your eyesight is bad?"

醫(yī)生看了他一會兒，問道：“哦，那么你怎么證明你的視力不好呢?”

The Irishman looked about the room and at last said, "Well, doctor, can you see that nail on thewall?"

愛爾蘭人四處看了看屋子，最后說道：“行，醫(yī)生，你看到墻上的釘子了嗎?”

"Yes." Replied the doctor.

“是的。”醫(yī)生回答。

"Well then," said the Irishman, "and I can't."

“那么，”愛爾蘭人說，“我看不見。”
