[00:01.05]Selling a Ladder 賣梯子 [00:08.28]There was a big garden near old Mr. Jones house, and it had a lot of fruit trees in it. 老瓊斯先生家附近有一座大花園，里面長了很多果樹。 [00:14.05] One day he saw some beautiful apples on one of them. 一天，他看到有棵樹上結(jié)了一些鮮艷蘋果。 [00:17.32] He went home and get a ladder, put it against the high wall of the garden and climbed up. 他回家拿了一架梯子，把它倚靠在花園的高墻上，爬了上去。 [00:23.32] Then he pulled the ladder up, put it down on the other side, and climbed down into the garden. 然后，他把梯子拿起來放在墻的另一邊，順著梯子下去進(jìn)了花園。 [00:29.54]Just then a gardener cam e round a corner and saw him. 就在這時(shí)，園丁從角落里走了過來，看到了他。 [00:34.25]"What are you doing here?" he shouted. “你在這里做什么呢?”他喊道。 [00:36.55]Mr. Jones thought quickly and then said, "I'm selling my ladder." 瓊斯先生腦子一轉(zhuǎn)，說道：“我在賣梯子?！? Do you think I believe such a stupid story?" “賣梯子?在別人的花園里?你以為我會(huì)相信你現(xiàn)編亂造?” [00:48.34]said the gardener and came towards Mr. Jones with a stick. 說著，園丁就拿著棍子朝他走去。 [00:52.48]"It is my ladder," said Mr. Jones,"and I can sell it where I like. You needn't buy if you don't want to." “這是我的梯子!”瓊斯先生說，“我愿意在哪里賣就在哪里賣。如果你不愿意，就不必買啊!” [01:00.27]And he took his ladder and climbed over the wall again. 他帶著梯子，又爬過墻走了。
