[00:01.01]Unit 16 Three legged Chicken 第16單元 三條腿的雞 [00:10.00]A man was driving along a rural road one day when he saw a three legged chicken. 有一天，有個(gè)人在鄉(xiāng)間小路上開著車，看到一直三條腿的雞。 [00:16.31]He was amused engough to drive along side it for a while, as he was driving he noticed the chicken was running 30 mph. 他覺得很好玩，跟在它旁邊開了一陣子的車，而且注意到那只雞奔跑的速度是每小時(shí)30英里。 [00:25.30]"Pretty fast chicken," he thought,"I wonder just how fast it can run." “好快的雞啊，”他心想：“不曉得它到底可以跑多快?！? [00:31.47]So he sped up and the chicken did too!They were now moving along the road at 45 mph! 于是他加速前進(jìn)，結(jié)果那只雞也跟著越跑越快!目前飛速度是每小時(shí)45英里! [00:39.19]The man in the car sped up again, to his surprise the chicken was still running ahead of him at 60 mph! 開車那個(gè)人再度加速，令他吃驚的是，那只雞卻以時(shí)速60英里的速度跑在他前面!! [00:49.08]Suddenly the chicken turned off the road and run down a long driveway leading to a farmhouse. 突然間那只雞從路上轉(zhuǎn)了個(gè)彎，跑上一條長長的通往農(nóng)舍的停車道。 [00:55.53]The man followed the chicken to the house and saw a man in the yard and dozens of three legged chickens. 那個(gè)人跟著來到農(nóng)舍前，看到院子里有個(gè)人，還有很多只三條腿的雞。 [01:02.31]The man in the car called out to the farmer "How did you get all these three legged chickens?" 開車那個(gè)人向農(nóng)夫大喊道：“那么多三條腿的雞哪來的啊?” [01:10.03]The farmer replied,"I breed them.
