整首歌是敘述從戀愛、結婚到生小孩是多么甜蜜的過程，每個階段都留下美好的回憶，而這完整的回憶就是靠這些點點滴滴累積而成。作詞者把人生美好的回憶用食譜的方式來描寫，真是別樹一格。
