When I was an infant, I got a rag doll. It was a very plain little doll, and it wore a clown outfit and a clown hat. I used to take that doll to bed with me every night. I couldn't go to bed without my doll. My mother used to pretend that the doll was talking to me. She would make the doll dance and sing songs. I would talk to the doll, and my mother would answer for the doll, but I was a baby and I thought that the doll was actually talking to me. 

當我還是嬰兒時，我得到了一個布娃娃。那是一個非常樸素的小娃娃，穿著小丑服裝，戴著小丑帽。我每天晚上都帶著那個娃娃上床睡覺。沒有娃娃，我就沒法睡覺。我媽媽過去常常假裝娃娃在跟我說話。她會讓娃娃跳舞唱歌。我會跟娃娃說話，我媽媽會替娃娃回答，但我當時還是個嬰兒，我以為娃娃實際上是在跟我說話。

That doll was my best friend. I took her everywhere. One time I took her to a store with me, and I left her on a shelf in the store. We were halfway home when I realized I didn't have my doll with me. I was very upset. My mother and I rushed back to the store. My doll was still there. I was so relieved. I hugged my doll and I promised myself that I would never leave her anywhere again. I couldn't imagine life without that doll. 

那個娃娃是我最好的朋友。我到處都帶著她。有一次，我?guī)ド痰辏阉旁谏痰甑募茏由?。我們走到半路時，我意識到我沒有帶娃娃。我很難過。我和媽媽沖回商店。我的娃娃還在那里。我松了一口氣。我擁抱了我的娃娃，并向自己保證，我再也不會把她留在任何地方。我無法想象沒有那個娃娃的生活。

Through the years, the doll became less important in my life. I had other things to do, but the doll still sat on my bed during the day, and I still took it to bed at night. I gave that doll a lot of love when I was little. In fact, I love that doll so much that she looks tattered and torn now. There are parts of her face and hands that are almost worn away. I had a lot of other toys when I was little, but none of them were ever as important as that doll. 

這些年來，娃娃在我生活中的重要性越來越小。我還有其他事情要做，但娃娃白天還是放在我床上，晚上還是把它抱上床。小時候，我給了娃娃很多愛。事實上，我太愛那個娃娃了，以至于她現在看起來破破爛爛的。她的臉和手的某些部分幾乎已經磨損了。小時候，我有很多其他玩具，但沒有一個像那個娃娃那么重要。

I don't play with toys anymore, but that doll is still in my room. She sits in a special chair in the corner. I'll always have that doll, no matter how worn out she is. I'll always keep her and cherish her as part of my early childhood.

我沒有再玩玩具了，但那個娃娃還在我的房間里。她坐在角落里的一把特殊的椅子上。無論她有多破舊，我都會永遠擁有那個娃娃。我會永遠留著她，把她當作我童年的一部分來珍惜。
