　　1. 解詞釋義

　　Foot the bill的字面意思是“踩著賬單，趕快開(kāi)溜”，比喻為“結(jié)賬，付賬，買單”的意思。

　　早在15世紀(jì)，人們開(kāi)始用foot the bill表示把所有的賬目加起來(lái)后算出總金額，然后寫(xiě)在賬單的底部(foot ofbill or account)，foot相當(dāng)于button，在這時(shí)候跟消費(fèi)者無(wú)關(guān)。但是到了19世紀(jì)，則與消費(fèi)者有關(guān)了，表示“付賬，買單”的意思，一直沿用至今。
