at one’s wits
表示對(duì)某事或某人束手無(wú)策,拿某人或某事沒有辦法了,在段語(yǔ)的后面用介詞“with”,即:at one’s wits with sb. /sth.
e.g. I'm at my wits' end worrying about how to pay the bills.
e.g. I am at my wits' end to know what to do with my son.
e.g. He seemed to be at his wits end with those ticklish questions.
e.g. My boy is such a mischief maker, I am at my wits end with him.
How is sth. with sb.? 例如:
How is your heart-to-heart talk with your girlfriend.
Ps 2:without any reason的意思是“毫無(wú)理由,毫無(wú)緣由,無(wú)緣無(wú)故”。例如:
They tore up the agreement without any reason.
