　　1. 解詞釋義

　　Sell sb. on one’s idea是美國(guó)俚語(yǔ)，意思是“說(shuō)服某人”。它源于have got sb. sold on sth.這個(gè)短語(yǔ)，字面意思是“成功地把某物推銷(xiāo)給某人”，引申義為“說(shuō)服某人”。

　　2. 拓展例句

　　e.g. Doctors tries to sell men on his idea that smokers should kick the habit of smoking.

　　醫(yī)生盡力說(shuō)服吸煙者戒煙。

　　e.g. It' s a losing battle trying to sell Henry to your idea that he needs take more exercise.

　　你要說(shuō)服亨利多運(yùn)動(dòng)純屬徒勞。

　　Ps 1：idea about：關(guān)于......的想法 think of：對(duì)......的認(rèn)為

　　Ps 2：frankly speaking是做插入語(yǔ)，意思是“說(shuō)實(shí)話(huà)，坦白地說(shuō)”。經(jīng)常防于句首。例如：

　　Frankly speaking, it is difficult for me to make out what he is saying.

　　坦率地說(shuō),理解他正在說(shuō)的事情是很困難的。

　　Frankly speaking, I'm not too keen on this meal, either.

　　坦率地說(shuō)，我也不是非常喜歡這頓飯。
