　　sell sb on one’s idea

　　1. 解詞釋義

　　Sell sb. on one’s idea是美國俚語，意思是“說服某人”。它源于have got sb. sold on sth.這個(gè)短語，字面意思是“成功地把某物推銷給某人”，引申義為“說服某人”。

　　2. 拓展例句

　　e.g. Doctors tries to sell men on his idea that smokers should kick the habit of smoking.

　　醫(yī)生盡力說服吸煙者戒煙。

　　e.g. It' s a losing battle trying to sell Henry to your idea that he needs take more exercise.

　　你要說服亨利多運(yùn)動(dòng)純屬徒勞。

　　Ps 1：idea about：關(guān)于......的想法 think of：對(duì)......的認(rèn)為

　　Ps 2：frankly speaking是做插入語，意思是“說實(shí)話，坦白地說”。經(jīng)常防于句首。例如：

　　Frankly speaking, it is difficult for me to make out what he is saying.

　　坦率地說,理解他正在說的事情是很困難的。

　　Frankly speaking, I'm not too keen on this meal, either.

　　Ps 2：詢問某人對(duì)某事的意見如何，可以用下面這個(gè)句型：What do you think of something?例如：
