1. 解詞釋義

成為一只伏在墻上的蒼蠅才不會(huì)引起別人的注意。不光可以清清楚楚地偷聽(tīng)到別人的很機(jī)密的談話，而且還相當(dāng)隱蔽，做得到神不知鬼不覺(jué)，從而不會(huì)被別人發(fā)現(xiàn)。根據(jù)這一生動(dòng)的想象，就有這個(gè)說(shuō)法了：a fly on the wall。用之來(lái)比喻“偷聽(tīng)別人說(shuō)話”。其英文解釋為：If you say you would like to be a fly on the wall in a certain situation, you mean that you would like to be there secretly to see and hear what happens.
