　　Get up the nerve的意思是“鼓起勇氣，放大膽子”。Nerve的本義是“神經(jīng)”，其引申義為“某人非常緊張，易怒，擔憂”，還有“勇氣，膽量”的意思，如果用于貶義詞的話，意思是“厚臉皮，放肆”。Nerve對人非常重要，他是精神的載體，所以我們說“給人神經(jīng)”，就是“給人勇氣”，都可以用nerve來表達。
